  1. A good story. Thanks. I like a check-out person to look me in the eye and smile. I’m an outgoing person and try to offer a bit of small talk or humor to the one ringing me up. Aldis comes to mind when I think of this habit. I don’t know if it’s part of their training or I’m just being lucky, but I like to shop at Aldis, and that may be part of the reason.
